VETERAN'S DAY TRIBUTE

Our service people
love to serve America,
in War and Peace
they are ready.

On this Veteran's Day
let us give 'thanks'
to all who have served
and to those  who are serving.

Without all of them
America would have been,
or would be in
a very sorry state.

With them, today,
we can proudly salute
'one Nation, under God',
and...we shall continue
to prevail.

This poem is dedicated to all military and all
those in my family who have served or are
serving right now. My daughter Sally and her
husband,Gary Koval, retired Air Force, my
granddaughter Carolyn Koval, Air Force,
brother-in-law Bob Slown also Air Force.
my son David Heinz, nephew Michael Kovach,
nieces Julie and Jessica Kovach, Marines,
nephews Bill and Andrew and nephew Kenneth
 Slown, Navy, and all those who were in the Army
my husband John Heinz, cousins John Wargo and
Ray Negray,brother-in-laws George and Nicholas Heinz,
brother-in-law Jarry Rafajko, uncles Albert, an
MP serving in Germany, John a telegraph operator,
serving in England, and Edward Churney who was
a tail-gunner in the Infantry in the Philippine Islands
served in WWII, all three were in the Army.  And...
most especially for my Uncle Edward Churney,
who killed in action at age 22 on Jan. 20, 1945.
