                The Simple Soul

He was first to admit
He was a sinner.
Just a "simple soul".
He wandered here
And there, alone.
He avoided all others.
Sometimes, troubled,
He searched aimlessly.
Taking one day at a time,
Letting go, letting God,
He found peace of mind.
Through prayer,
And with humble heart,
He found God listened!
He let him know
His soul would not
Ache anymore. For...
His faith had
Made him whole.

"Here in is love, not that we loved God,
but that He loved us, and sent His Son
as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."
            (1John 4:10  NIV)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
