The Surpreme Gift of Life

I gave them the earth, the stars and the moon
and they wanted more...
I gave them their intelligence and tools for building
and they wanted more...
I gave them within the cells of the earth resourses,
they used them and they wanted more...

A few became frustrated with others and themselves,
they destroyed what they had and they still wanted more...
A few became full of faith, wisdom and knowledge and
rebuilt what the others destroyed...
for these few, I am thankful, I gave them more...
I gave them Eternal Life!

"The Lord open the eyes of the blind: the Lord raises them
that are bowed down: the Lord loves the righteous."
                   (Psalm 146:8) KJV

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
