My Good Shepherd

My Good Shepherd

Oh, Lord,
my Good Shepherd
the lesson You taught me
today
was from Psalm 23.
I am grateful to know
You are always with me
over life's mountains
and in the darkest valley.
Everything of the earth
must pass by
leaving only You
ahead of me.
You hold my hand
and lift me
to Your Kingdom
by Your mercy.
Lord, You are
My Good Shepherd
and I want
only You!

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I
shall not want."(Psalm 23:1)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
