            The Reason

God puts us here on earth for a reason,
the reason we know not.

While on earth we work hard,
the reason we know not.

Then in a flash He takes us to Heaven,
ours not to question the reason,
the reason we know not.

It is mine not to question the reason,
the reason, I know not , or do I care.

Aid me God along life's path,
for I so want to be able to walk a while
with You in Heaven when I'm there.

"Your strength will equal your days."
              (Deut. 33:25)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
