Thoughts on Spring

Thoughts on Spring

It is nice to hear the robin's song again,
and watch as the grass turns green.

Fruit trees are wearing pink and white floral hats.
Spring beckons to me, the prettiest sights I've ever seen.

I love to witness the tiny crocus, tulips and daffodils
poke the heads up out of the ground.

I watch in amazement...it seems all of nature
comes alive, without as much as a sound.

"Keep on looking and you will keep on finding"
          (Luke 11-9)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
