The Bible Is A Real Eye-opener

The Bible Is A Real Eye Opener

The Bible is a real eye-opener
As to the existence of a soul
And that there’s not just a here but a hereafter
About which our God thinks we should know
And He's made it so very plain and so simple
That even a child can understand
And has laid out faith as the principal way
That Salvation can be known unto man...

Forgiveness is the absolute gateway
That can lead a soul unto eternal rest
And when we ask God to forgive us of our sins
That soul will begin to be blessed
For honesty is the best policy
To gain sweet assurance as to your soul's destiny
And the Word of the Lord as your pathway
As to the offer of a Salvation that's free!

Now my chief delight is to do God's will
And where He leads me I will follow
At one time it was all just pie in the sky
And the truth of it hard to swallow
But when I humbled myself and learnt how to pray
God became my Significant other
And He lead me to the understanding of the plan of Salvation
And what a glory that has been to me brother...

And now still strong on my behalf
Is my dear precious Lord
For when I am weak I find my strength
In the power of His Word
And praise God it has been worth it all
For He's led me all the way
And I still give Him thanks with a greatful heart
For what He did for me that day!

Don't miss out on a residency in Heaven
Just because you have neglected God's Word
Praise God there's still room at the Cross for you
Come now and trust in the Lord!
Come anchor your soul in the stronghold of faith
That can withstand any battering storm
And you'll yourself safe
In those everlasting arms of love
Available to any believing man!

Sense the wooing of God's Holy Spirit
Come ye O sinner come
Let me reiterate with permission of course once again
That the way of the Cross leads home
With God alone being your Witness
Have a reflection back to Calvary
Where our precious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
Died on an old rugged Cross for thee...

Don't put off your day of Salvation
Look and live my brother live
There's an old hymn with that title displayed
Which is an encouragement today for you to believe
Why not cinch today your new tomorrow
But it only will be if you look and live
Believe while the offer is still on the table
For who knows of how many more days you will live...

Don't let Satan harden your heart
To hold you fast unto his Hell
But believe on the Lord Jesus Christ today
Who doeth all things well
Just a small confession will do
" God be merciful unto me a sinner"
And when...praise God... that you leave planet earth
You'll go out knowing that you're a winner!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
