Follow Hard After God

Follow hard after God
Enjoy each day His supply
Grace for each trial that comes our way
Forgiveness as our ally
Every moment He's with me
My faith has a resting place
I'm sheltered by the love of Jesus
Through everything taking place

My prayers are daily refreshing
As I praise Him everyday
Waiting upon His guiding hand
As He leads me along the way
Rejoicing in Christ's endurance
Who went by way of the Cross
All the way to death for my deliverance
So that I might not suffer loss

I'm satisfied beyond comparison
For what a great God have I
Who expessed His love in such a manner
That I might gain eternity
He is worth each gazing moment
Praise God for Calvary
Where His shed blood procured redemption
That repentant men might be freed

O that you might find Him
Come to know the love of God
Who has left a trail of grace and forgiveness
That is recorded in His Word
Thou art God.. and God thou art
Beside Him is none other
Come today and enjoy Him friend
For it is life's greatesr offer!

The Salvation found in Jesus Christ
Is worth the quest of your soul
Don't leave off of living your life
With God in complete control
Who would know you better than anyone else?
Know you without and within
Know every number of the hairs on your head
Your deep depravity of sin

Today can be your entrance day
Come and be born again
Heaven will take up residence in your soul
You'll have Spiritual life within
Make faith in God a realization
Come and be saved by grace
Enjoy the presence of God within
Until we meet Him face to face

Hasn't He done enough for you
He gave the greatest of Sacrifice
Walking His way to an old rugged Cross
Paying for our sin its highest price
What a Salvation He has provided
O how He has loved us so!
Knowing His shed blood had such a power.. hallelujah!!!
To wash us as white as snow!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
