It's First Class All The Way

It's first class all the way
With my God and I
I'm seated in the heavenlies with Christ Jesus
Destined for the sweet bye and bye
And the joy and rejoicing in this heart
Is a esult of repentance of sin
And a saving faith is my blessed hope
For praise God I have trusted in Him

And now Hallelujah's from this tongue
They tell of a saving grace
For there is a Saviour who is ever present
If you would seek the Master's face
No building holds the rights to God
Brother and sister now hear it
God can be known just where you are
Through the work of the Holy Spirit

Have all your burdens got you down
You just don't know where to turn
There's a twenty four seven answering service
If to Jesus Christ you'll turn
Come on, admit it, you know you need Him
Isn't it high time that you pray
Book your flight for a first class ticket
Put your trust in Jesus Christ today!

I'm heaven bound for the Gloryland
I have loved one's awaiting for me
But I'm not in a hurry to get there though
Unless it's the will of God for me
For there are others that  we must tell.
Until the day of our final breath
He is alive! He has Arisen!
And praise God He has defeated death!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
