The Bible

If you pour over its pages 
Its pages will pour over you
God just loves it when you check it out
With a heart that's sincere and true
I don't know if you've tried it
But make an appointment today
There's nothing to lose and everything to gain
Be sure when you read it you pray

I must now make a correction
To a statement I earlier made
There is something to lose if you don't read the Word
You won't read that you must be saved
And this is a crucial matter
For your soul's destiny is at stake
I don't know about you my friend
But it's a chance I'd rather not take


Just imagine the love of God
Magnified as such in the Word
How He loved His creation so much
Had a plan that His love could be heard
And faith cometh by hearing 
And hearing by the Word of God
The Bible contains our charter of faith
When we put our trust in the Lord

So are you looking for higher learning
Then you must go to the Highest source
Where might I find that knowledge you ask
Well its found in the Bible of course
So hurry grab your copy
Make mine the KJV
Begin the process. . and read, read, read
Until you determine your destiny!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

KJV means King James Version...I became a believer back in 1972 through the reading of it and it has become my steadfast companion

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, �Dad, what�s this?� and I said a poem and she replied �Dad, that�s not a poem , that�s a song� and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
