Salvation Is Instantaneous

Salvation Is Instantaneous

Salvation is instantaneous
For from the very moment you believe
The Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit
That the seal of God you've received
Now His life is living in you
The life of His Resurrection
Giving to us an everlasting hope
One day of a glorious perfection

Transformed from darkness into light
And born again by His Spirit
The Word of God so precious now
With a true desire to hear it
And seeing people as never before
Lost and without Salvation
With a soul that needs to know
The end result of damnation

Not a manufactured feeling
But a love placed in our heart by God
We pray that lives would really be changed
And that they might check out God's Word
To know the peace that passeth all understanding
Joy exuding from a soul set free
Knowing  the fragrance that forgiveness yields
Revealing the fruit of the Spirit in me

Yes Salvation is instantaneous
God is swift when a soul believes
When a repentant heart receives Him
This gives to God the greatest of praise
For Christ's sacrifice again proves sufficient
The payment for sin His blood has supplied
No other way but through that blessed Saviour
Come to the Cross where mercy resides!

A complete redemption Hallelujah!
Hallelujah for the Cross
When sin had struck its fiercest blow
It also suffered its greatest loss
For with glorious Resurrection power
Christ has arisen from the dead
To offer us praise God, an instantaneous Salvation
For He alone is our living Head!

Be swift to come to such a loving Father
Who in spite of your sin is willing to save
Offering up hope through that blessed Saviour
Christ victorious over the grave
I know the blessing of this Salvation
I've tasted and seen that the Lord is good
Upon repentance my sins were forgiven
And instantaneous the presence of God!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
