There's A Feeling

There's A Feeling

There's a feeling to a lostness
A soul away from God
A separation from what life can be
When it's not founded on the Word
God's manuscript for humans
That Satan seeks to smother
Has the remedy for real living
It's there to read my brother

For faith comes by hearing
And hearing by the Word of God
Pray that God would open your heart
So that it would be understood
Take one of the gospels
Try the gospel of John
Let its truth sink in as you read
The Spirit will lead you on

How many other books have you read
And where has that led you too
Wouldn't it be wonderful to read the Bible
And see what truth does for you
It was the foundation for the apostles
Who walked with the living Lord
The truths He taught resonated with them
They believed on them word for word

Truth became faith's generator
For knowing the truth will set you free
For Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life
He offers you true liberty
Look how century's have passed us
Thousands of years have gone by
But yesterday, today, and forever
Jesus is still truth's supply

There's a life that's there for the taking
There's a season of taking for you
Today if you hear the voice of the Saviour
May it become top priority for you
For though heaven and earth may pass away
God's Word will abide for ever
May it become your foundation for faith
And today you become a believer!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
