When I Catch Myself
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

When I Catch Myself

When I catch myself in a hurry
I have to hurry up and slow down
And remember God...He's still in charge
So relax...and let Him do!
Prayer brings such a restfulness
Praise God for my Creator
Take care of each issue presently at hand
God will take care of the other things later

Learn to live in Rejoicingville
In everything give thanks
For this is the will of God for you
Yes!...in every circumstance!
Take the time to enjoy the moments
That God may bring your way
You'll meet more people to be a help too
And evangelize along the way

Always make much of God
For He is greatly to be praised
Learn to live in swift obedience
And you'll have rejoicing days
O how I love that Saviour
Who gave His life for me
And holds me special in His heart
Because of my faith in Calvary

O what a joy to know that One
Who has the power to forgive
And make a soul as clean as all get out
So that it can really, really live
I love that my Redeemer liveth
Hallelujah for that fact!
I can now live for I know tomorrow's Holder
He's the same as in the Book of Acts

Yes joy does come in the morning
I've known the sin of evening hour
And my repentance has really changed me
Praise God for His transforming power
All my Hallelujah's stir me
To say hallelujah once again
For I have found..praise God I've found
Such an everliving everloving Friend!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
