O For The Revelation Of Truth

O for the revelation of truth
When it hits home to the heart
And the strongholds of sin receive a blow
When truth it does it's part
The Word of God is so powerful
Sharper than any two edged sword
A discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
The loss of which we can ill afford

It opens our eyegates to reason
To think on the thoughts of God
To see the workings of Jesus Christ
To a life wholly devoted to good
To point us to a wonderful Saviour
Who in spite of our heart's prone to sin
Is ready and willing to offer us forgiveness
When we repent and turn unto him

That Word it holds an attraction
For it became flesh in the Son
Its tenure will last forever and ever
Even when earth is gone
Its standard shall never diminish
Hallelujah for the Cross
There where truth Himself suffered and died
Then in three days arose for us!

Preach it in season and out
There's good news for everyone
There's a wonderful so great Salvation
To be found in Lord Jesus God's Son
The Author and faith's Finisher
Who wraps it all up in the Word
Don't miss out on your soul's provision
By telling me you have not heard

Find your nearest Bible
Find yourself a quiet spot
Don't let Satan tell you you're foolish
God's louder Word says.. you're not!
Now in a prayerful manner
Ask the Lord to help you to read
Do this as a daily practice
And you'll discover your soul's deepest need

There's no other name like Jesus Christ
To which our calendars give authenticity
That He was born...died...and rose again
It's a proven fact in history
Today on November eleventh
With the year of twenty twenty still in view
Turn your eyes upon Jesus Christ
And He will turn His eyes upon you...
