Is There Absolute Truth

Is there absolute truth?...Absolutely!
For it's found in Christ the Son
Who steafast in His lovingkindness
Has a heart for your Salvation
The government will be upon His shoulders
That's just how great of a Lord He is
The absolute truth as to law giving
And the establishing of God's righteousness

Our lives are weighed in His balances
We are all found wanting because of our sin
Yet with His love He is willing to forgive us
If we would but repent and turn from our sin
There's grace available twenty four seven
Such is Christ's great reservoir of love
Ready to pour out to you a portion
If you would call upon the Lord

Our law is established upon the Bible
And amen...praise God...the Bible still stands
Jesus...the Author and Finisher of our faith
Holds control of the world in His hands
Don't be so swift to knock the Bible
Before you even have read it through
For in the reading of it you'll find out the truth
That the Bible is reading you

The greatest expression that there ever was found of love
Is to be found written in God's Word
Where the only sinless man who ever walked this earth
With the greatest  heart of love was the Lord
Miracle after miracle wore His sandals thin
As He would walk from town to town
All with the purposeful living with love unto others
He spread His compassionate heart all around

With one intention solely on His heart and mind
That men would seek after the Lord
And follow hard in the pursuit of Him
With a love in their heart's for His Word
Then this love woud reach out to others
There's life by way of the Cross
The love of God found in Jesus Christ our Saviour
Who paid the highest price of sin for us!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
