Sharper Than Any Two-edged Sword

Amen Beat...

Hebrew 4: 12
For the word of God is quick, and
powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword, piercing even to the
dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and
of the joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of
the heart.

Sharper Than Any Two-edged Sword

Sharper than any two-edged sword
Says the Bible God's Holy Word
A discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
Of that you can be assured
It has such piercing power
It can search you through and through
To the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit
And of the joints and marrow too

God knew when He caused its inspiration
The degree of its significance
He blessed it through the Holy Spirit
To lead men unto repentance
And every heart that searches the scriptures
With a mindset on knowing our God
After reading line upon line and understanding precept upon precept
The meaning of Salvation will be understood

Then that great glad day of dawning
When the true Light of the world is revealed
And with a heart stirred by Godly repentance
A confession of faith in Christ Jesus and hallelujah Holy Spirit sealed!
Born again by the Spirit of God
Through having saving faith in the Son
Praise God above for the Holy Scriptures
For cutting through the chase and bringing us under conviction!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
