Love Has Its Limitations

Love Has Its Limitations

Love has its limitations
Until it becomes infused by God
Then it will go the extra mile in service
Because love is the product of God
Love is the strongest emotion available
To bring an effectiveness of change
Poured out love from Calvary
Accept it!!!...you'll never be the same again

When you look at people through God's eyes
You see to the depths of a soul
How urgent it is that men find Christ
And His love for them to really know
So sad that we don't think about sin
As the true culprit that it is
How that it has a stranglehold on our emotions
Only released through the power of the love that God gives

Amazing the love of a Father
Who in sending the gift of His Son
Allowing men to abuse Him the way that they did
In becoming the Crucified One
Then along with His amazing love
Comes triumphant with His amazing grace
And offering forgiveness to every repentant heart
That seeks the Master's face!

Love has its limitations
Until its infused by the Son
Then the indwelling of the Holy Spirit
To show us love towards every one
May the good Lord grant you repentance
To taste and see that the Lord is Good!
For nothing brings change like the power of love
May it be found in your neighborhood!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
