Not One Stain

Not One Stain

Not one stain of sin is left
On each believing heart
For Christ has conquered sin by death
And says to sin...Depart!
The Father and Spirit both
agree
And now that lives within
Is the Resurrection power
His blood has washed us clean

Satan can only mock at best
Those saved by the Lamb
For He who was and always is
Is still the Great I am
His Righteousness has blazed a trail
We follow in His train
And we shall live forever
rmore
Who've trusted in that name

O that name of Jesus Christ
On earth there is none sweeter
For those who've trusted in that name
Are blessed ...with still to be here
To share that story over and over
The gospel!...Jesus saves!
We will sing it in His presence
Upon rising from our Graves!

For there in Glory all shall know
The significance of the cross
We shall have an eternal bliss
While others an eternal loss
Every knee shall bow and tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord
If you have not believed on Him
It's a decision you can I'll afford!

So today...today! Make your decision
The Cross it standeth fast
It has survived Satan's attempts
And any earthly men's blast
He who spoke and we became
A speck of dust on earth
Offers you pardon...still today!
Come and enjoy a "new birth!"

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
