      Spirit Birth's Spirit

The sinful heart is like a stone –Eze.11:19

So calloused cold and dense

It’s evil fruit birth’s death alone –Ro.7:5

With dust as recompense

Within the heart is nothing good –Ecc.9:3

Since God and man’s divide –Gen.3:24

It fails to sing The Way it should

Without The Truth inside –Isa.59:15

Yet Spirit gives to spirit birth –Jn.3:6

Where Jesus plants His Seed –Gal.3:16

No one’s condemned beneath the earth –Jn.11:25-26

To rot like worthless weed

Salvation causes life anew

When self we learn to kill

One’s spirits need attention too

While seeking souls to fill –Jn.6:39

Man’s wayward flesh will always strive

En route to endless hell –Ro.13:14

The spirit though will live to thrive

That drinks from Heaven’s Well –Isa.12:3

When flesh denies its selfish choice –1Pe.2:24

When deaf to Satan’s song –Eph.2:3

When heeding The Saviour’s voice –Jn.10:3-5

We’ll join The Master’s throng

As sure as facts wear no disguise

While Truth cuts like a sword –Heb.4:12

Good and evil will both arise –Gen.7:22

To reap their just reward

Bear witness now to God’s decree

No filth can rise on high –1Co.15:50

So man today must bow the knee

Willing one’s self to die…..

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
