Think!
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By Michael P. Johnson
Other Poems by Michael P. Johnson

               Think!

We wonder what it’s all about

This life here on earth

Does wisdom satisfy the doubt?

Must death accompany birth?

Does knowledge bring to life a fool?

Can true love conquer all?

Can nature disobey the rule?

Can man refuse to fall?

Can God be seen to fail on high?

Can flesh object to sin?

Has Jesus once again to die?

Can Satan ever win?

Can time one day be made to cease?

What happens then to when?

Can love give birth to endless peace?

Can man be born again?

Is God above, and does He care?

Does Christ for man still cry?

When will His servants get their share?

Did Jesus really die?

Is God almighty, as we’re told?

Why won’t He intervene?

Why can the devil walk yet bold?

Molesting Jesus’ queen?

Must still the grave receive its fill?

Can man, be Jesus’ wife?

Can servants, share The Master’s will?

And reap eternal life?

What happens, when we Christ refuse?

Why must we God obey?

What has a man on earth to lose?

What follows judgement day?….

             Think again

The answer can in Christ be found

God’s Truth is plain to see

Seeking to dwell on hallowed ground

Wisdom comes gratis free

Instead; we seek for precious stones

For gold, we’ll kill and fight

Yet all these things, like flesh and bones

Soon vanish out of sight

Eternal things, cannot be bought

Their price, none can afford

The wealth of fools, will count to nought

Yet wisdom, seeks The Lord

We’ll trust the fortress that we build

But fail to kneel and pray

So all the storerooms that we’ve filled

The foe will cart away

But nought of Gods can fade or rust

No thief can ever steal

When in The Lord, we place our trust

Eternal life, comes real

Instead of life, beneath Christ’s wing

In whom God’s hill’s to climb

With lust, the devil’s song we sing

Wasting precious time

Satanic fruit, we seek to hoard

We’ll live as Satan’s bride

So few, in truth seek Christ The Lord

His Spirit, to abide

All else will fail, will fall will rot

All else will surely die

The Wind will blow when time’s forgot

But God will reign on high…..

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
