Prepare to Build

         Prepare To Build

Perhaps in church you’re saved by grace

For years you’ve known God’s Son

But yet you feel within your place

That much can still be done

Perhaps The Lord has chosen you!

Yourself; a flock to form

To nurture sheep till born anew

They’re fit to stand the storm

Has Jesus cleansed and made you whole

Has Fire consumed your sin

Can you not help another’s soul?

Through He who dwells within?

Perhaps its time to rise and shine

Distribute living bread

Serving Salvation’s precious wine

Raising the walking dead

Emerge like Christ a tender shoot –Isa.53:2

Arise from out the dust

Its time to bear The Master fruit –Jn.15:1-17

Be strong in faith and trust

In Christ there is no place for doubt

Once Truth one’s heart can see

The Lord of hosts is calling out –2Co.6:17

To set His children free

Perhaps He’s calling you as guide

Or hold some other’s hand

Be sure its Christ, you’ve heard inside

For only then; you’ll stand

Don’t move until you’ve heard The Lord

The Shepherd’s voice alone

To form a church, we can’t afford

To build on flesh and bone.....

           Born to Build

Within the world there’s much to do

For those who’ve heard God’s voice

We’re not the first He’s calling to

Where each remains the choice

Till more on earth receive Life’s Dew

Till saved and born again

We’ll still remain a scattered few

Like single drops of rain

Branch out in Christ Salvation’s Vine

The Root of David’s song

Allow in Truth your light to shine

Reveal what’s right from wrong

We are The Light born new to lead

Christ’s faithful mighty bride

God’s chosen sheep we need to feed

Dwelling by grace inside

Where Christ is Lord, no church can fall

Though simple room or tent

No need for structures grand and tall

No need to pay much rent

But tables must be furnished friend

More oft than once a week

All daily bread The Lord will send

If when His face we seek

We’ve life inside for those out there

We’ve truth instead of lies

We’ve selfless love and joy to share

Through Him who never dies

We live to serve The Living Christ

To stand and never stray

For souls that Christ was sacrificed

Let’s shine and show The Way.....

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
