Where Knowledge Fails

         Where Knowledge Fails

The feeble heart, runs cold and scared

Men tremble to the bone

Which one of us is born prepared?

To face the great unknown

For gain; in life we’ll wheel and deal

For knowledge, we’ll pursue

While asking still if God is real?

If hell and Heaven’s true

Can man believe, such wonders heard?

Such things he cannot see?

Is endless life within God’s Word?

Can knowledge set us free?

Or is The Truth much deeper still?

Where wisdom fails to tell?

Does one exist man’s flesh can kill?

And burn one’s soul in hell?

Can man obtain spiritual sight?

Receive Salvation’s grace

By faith alone, prepare to fight?

Prevail by trust, life’s race?

While life produces God’s elect

Gathered through tests of time

Those loving Light, darkness reject

Avoiding filth and crime

What fool; will put the cross to doubt?

 Put countless lives at stake?

Who’ll minimize, what Christ’s about?

And risk the fiery lake?

What fool can stop, what God has planned?

Who’ll treat Him as a clown?

Reject, the Saviour’s outstretched hand?

Decline Salvation’s crown?..... P.T.O......

      Wisdom Reveals

We can’t rely on common sense

Nor knowledge taught at schools

Sitting complacent on the fence

While darkness reigns and rules

What greater gift could God we give?

When to ourselves we’re true

What lesser thing can cause to live?

Life’s Haven to pursue

We need to trust in Heaven’s Word

Through faith God’s Lamb believe

We need to act on what we’ve heard

God’s Promise to receive

What fool will say God’s Lamb’s a lie?

Life’s Word is less than true?

Who’s so convinced, they’d even die

Just like the ancient few!

They died, because of what they saw! –Lk.24:48

Because The Truth was clear –Ac.4:20

In whom they saw Salvation’s Door –Jn.14:6

Without doubt or fear

What drove these men to self-denial?

What kept them strong and true?

What made them walk the extra mile?

And give them life anew?

Such faith’s received through Christ alone

Who’s blood was given free

Who’s life remains the corner stone

Still plain for all to see

Come purchase gratis free of cost

Cast off the devil’s chain

Receive the glory Adam lost

Let wisdom rule again..…

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
