Church Meetings

      Church meetings (1)

We meet beneath The Saviour’s feet

What joy each face to see

Such love we feel when those we greet

The blood of Christ set free

We’ve truly heard The Master’s voice

Received life’s precious Dew

By grace, we’ve made God’s Lamb our choice

Through whom we’re born anew

We rendezvous within His love

Greeting with hug and kiss

We celebrate with those above

Sweet unity as this

Not few have heard, “They’d never stay

Our house; we’ve based on silt”

But as The Lord God lives today

We know, on whom we’ve built

On deep foundations strong and true

The Truth we’ve sought and found

We’ll stand as Jesus’ chosen few

Upon this solid ground

We kneel while others walk so tall

While proud the world yet spins

We’ll stand seeing when rebels fall

When shaking soon begins

So hand in hand we’ll feel the touch

God’s gentle sweet embrace

As bride, we tell The Groom how much

We yearn to see His face

Espoused to Christ is not a game

As bride, we don’t pretend

We change our mind we change our name

Serving until the end..…

        Church meetings (2)

The Spiritual blind come and go

Like leaves upon a tree

But those allowing Truth to flow

Soon begin to see

The world should see; our spotless gowns

Our robes, of shining white

Sparkling jewel filled golden crowns

Through Heaven’s gift of  Light

With joyful hearts, we wave and shout

Knowing where we belong

We take a hand we hold one out

Singing in love our song

Alive; in Christ, so must we be

A flame, blazing as one

Not just inside, but plain to see

Far brighter than the sun

Much time has passed since first we came

Since Jesus’ voice was heard

Once battered, torn, filthy with shame

We’ve beauty; through The Word

We may be young, or growing old

Yet ageless deep inside

By God’s true grace, we’re standing bold

A true and faithful bride

One should take score on bended knees

What wealth from God we’ve bought?         Rev.3:18

Can more be done Jesus to please?

Can deeper truth be sought?

Though Satan comes to push and shove

Heaven takes great delight

When those, who have The Holy Dove

Put foolish doubts to flight..…

      Church meetings (3)

Christ makes us strong, to help the weak

The swift, in patience wait

United, thus The Truth we seek

Will guide to Heaven’s gate

From time to time, we’ll take account

We’ll drink God’s chosen cup

We’ll climb once more God’s holy mount

Once strong and lifted up

Yet in the ranks, is heard the cry

Most all we’ve done, has failed

Why must today, God’s children die?

Why still has death prevailed?

Why must we serve at such high cost?

How can the devil reign?

Why preach restoring all that’s lost?

When sinners only gain?

Attacked; is much, God’s living Word

His prophets of today

To blinded fools, The Truth’s absurd

They doubt what God would say

Yet head and tail, are Jesus’ choice

As through the years we’ve seen

We heed alone The Master’s voice

And no one comes between

It’s not a sin, to question God

Nor Christ His Lamb & Son

But sometimes feel The Master’s rod

For how, or why, it’s done

We’re going on to depths unknown

New heights no flesh has seen

In Truth we’ll reach The Father’s throne

As Jesus’ faithful queen…..

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
