House of Living Stone
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

House of living stone

From humble mud was Adam made

Through sin his flesh, though soon would fade

He disobeyed his Father’s law

God’s fellowship; he’d taste no more

The Word reveals God’s righteous will

A Stone He lay on Zion Hill

Of living stone God’s house will stand

Lovingly built by no man’s hand

Nations will see this house of life

Through peace through love to vanquish strife

The Corner Stone has long been laid

The price though high, God freely paid

God’s ancient Stone stands now erect

The very Stone many reject

The Stone of Truth, of living flame

Bearing The Lord God’s holy name

Before creation Heaven foretold

No house man made God’s best will hold

His Word will stand it cannot fall

Heaven alone will do it all

God’s house of stone on Zion mount

It’s total rooms can no man count

Not all; will come to dwell therein

But only those, cleansed free of sin

Who come to Christ though flesh and bone

The Lord will make of living stone

Through Heavens’ Flame, seven times tried

Must each one pass to form His bride

Eternity; through Christ life’s Door

God’s temple stands a tent no more

Wandering days through faith have gone

Firmly built on Christ God’s Son.....

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
