Of God the Truth
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 2 times

By Michael P. Johnson
Other Poems by Michael P. Johnson

       Of God the truth

How sad the world has lost her fear

Failing to understand

She’s blind through lies her children hear

Though Truth is close at hand

To most! God’s earth is like a stage

Where man would play the lead

Each day of life’s another page

The script one needs to read

Some doubt The Lord’s eternal plan

Salvation and His law

Through greed, they’ll reach for all they can

In death there’s nothing more

There is no rising of the dead

No life in Christ to come

Such foolishness, to fill one’s head

Can turn the wisest, dumb

There is no God up in the air

No Heaven in the sky

No living Christ with love to share

And hell’s another lie

No King commanding what to do

No order how to live

Yet if God’s real His love is too

And so He’ll “all” forgive

Just seeing God as love and grace

We fall to Satan’s lies

Failing to seek The Father’s face

We’ll reap a sad surprise

The world will stand before His throne

God’s judgement will begin

She’ll see when Jesus throws the stone –Jn.8:7

Convicting her of sin..…

        Truth of the Lord

God’s Lamb & Son can all but lie

Through faith in Him we see

Without His blood we’re bound to die

Without Him no one’s free

Yet Christ The Lord is so much more

His power is more than great

Who fail to find He’s Heaven’s Door

Will reap the devil’s fate

Life’s Author notes, who praise His name

Who tends and serves His bride

Each child baptised within Life’s Flame

Those truly purged inside

All these He’ll judge whilst now on earth –1Pe.4:17

Whilst mere flesh and bone

Through faith, receiving second birth

Who’ll change to living stone –1Pe.2:5

Their names, will grace The Father’s book

Engraved by Jesus’ hand

In time The Judge will take a look

As is and always planned

Many believe; their names are there

With Christ, they think to reign

But through God’s Lamb they’ll have no share

Unless they’re born again –Jn.3:3-8

How good their deeds, how oft they kneel

From church, they never fail

Without The Father’s Righteous Seal

They too, will end in jail

The time is now; the choice is free

Believe the true report

Pray Christ to come as Truth to see

The day is growing short..…

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
