Waste No Time.....

† † † † † Waste No Time.....

Wait not until youíre old and grey

Till sickness comes to dwell

Seek Jesus now whilst yet you may

Seek out Salvationís Well

God sees each heart each filthy soul

Each thought He can perceive

He longs to save to make all whole

Who in His Son believe

Wait not until your old and frail

Till dim have grown your eye

Wait not until your entrails fail

Until you fear to die

Wait not till wisdom comes to call

Till youth and vigourís spent

Until with back against the wall

You may no more repent

Wait not for God to show His face

For Christ to show Heís true

But pray Salvationís saving grace

Would flow as morning dew

Wait not till life shuts tight the door

Wait not to bow your head

Refuse to be the devilís whore

Arise and leave his bed

Itís time the facts of life to see

Itís time to kneel and pray

Itís time manís heart and soul were free

To walk Godís chosen Way

Salvationís arms are open wide

Jesus calls loud and clear

Itís time for us to walk inside

His cloud draws ever nearÖ..

As that old saying goes, "Never put off 'til tomorrow what you can do today" and that applies to asking Jesus to be your Savior and Lord. It's never too soon! God bless!

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
