††††† Be glad God is

Be glad that God is truth and light

In Christ we have the strength to fight

Be glad His Gift we have to pray

And through His blood still strong today

Be glad, that God is not like me

Before Christ came to set me free

Before my life had seen the change

Even to self Iím often strange

Be glad that God is not like us

Such trivial things we make a fuss

The food we eat the clothes we wear

Important is we have to share

Be glad that God is not like you

Too short of sight to share His view

Our awesome God though pure divine

Still pours forth love like common wine

Be glad that God is not like they

Who sit puffed up wasting the day

Who know it all and then some-more

Be glad itís God who keeps the score

Be glad, that God is not like she

To shake or stir, she canít agree

Though God has sent His Dove as guide

Heaven or hell she canít decide

Be glad, that God is not like him

Whoís cupís full evil, to the brim

Satan thought Christ was so much less

Give not the liar your address

Be glad, that God is God indeed

He meets in life manís every need

Perfect in love forever true

My God Iím glad, that You; are You!.....

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
