          The Lord Provides

Through Adam’s sin, God cursed the ground –Gen.3:17

Through which is death ordained –Gen.3:19

Through blood alone salvation’s found –Heb.9:22

And life through faith regained –Heb.11:6

Before God’s Son to flesh was born

Before as Lamb impaled

A shadow of that day to dawn

The Lord has long unveiled

When Isaac on the altar lay

No Promise yet received –Heb.11:39

Saw Abraham his Saviour’s day

And through his faith believed

Withholding nought, his son would live

His love he proved God well –Gen.22:12

The Lord Himself; a Lamb would give

Who’d die to save from hell –Gen.22:8

Through Christ God’s righteous blood would flow

Through He foretold of old –Gen.22:8

Defeating thus the ancient foe

Just as the prophets told –Isa.53:1-12

On Egypt land God’s children slaved –Ex.1:11

To Pharaoh bent their knee

A Hebrew in the palace raised Ex.1:10

Would set the captive free –Ex.3:10

A lamb for every house would die –Ex.12:3

Wherein God’s children stood –Ex.12:22

Through faith in Him who reigns on high –Heb.11:13

Their doors they stained in blood –Ex.12:7+Jos.2:17-20

Made perfect on the cross of wood –Heb.5:8-9

To all who understand –Mt.11:25

The Promise God ordained with blood –Ro.8:11

Is sealed in Jesus’ hand –Eph.1:7…..

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
