Sing to the Lord

         Sing to the Lord

Foolish live still the worldly wise

Shameful they dance to Satan’s lies

Drinking death’s wine with Satan’s bread

Singing hell’s songs while walking dead

To worship Christ and give him praise

The truth’s been taught since ancient days

God gave to man life’s song to sing

To soar above on eagle’s wing

Lift joyous hearts sing out in love

Let praise soar The Holy Dove

Heaven and earth will take delight

When God receives love songs in flight

Angels on high may never sing

Songs of Zion to God the King

But those redeemed in Christ rejoice

Lift high your heads and raise your voice

Look neither left nor to the right

Sing songs of faith with all your might

Sing as you walk your Groom to greet

Singing to God at Jesus’ feet

Sing out long or just a while

Each song we sing brings God a smile

Blessings will surely fill the earth

Sing in the truth for all you’re worth

Let every child of God by choice

Lift God your heads raise high your voice

Alone in truth let voices ring

For this alone will please our King

So heed each song you choose to rise

Be faithful true and always wise

With heart and soul give praise today

God’s singer of songs won’t see decay.....

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
