There Is a Way

         There is a way

“Today you’re down so full of doubt

You fail to see what life’s about

You find no peace no sleep at night

No remedy has come to light

This life’s so bad you fail to cope

You’ve thought to end it with a rope

Then deep inside you hear the cry

What happens next when people die?

There is a way to end it all

There’s someone close for you to call

A helping hand is always there

With so much love and joy to share

Of Jesus Christ you may have heard

Yet don’t believe a single word

But let these words now testify

I’ve heard the One who came to die

No doubt at first you won’t believe

For Satan’s job is to deceive

But Christ in truth is whom you need

God’s bread of life on which to feed

Allow His love to flood your heart

The truth received will never part

God’s Wind will blow where’re He will

But wait my friend till all is still

Your troubled thoughts will come to cease

God’s Spirit flows with joyful peace

Your life that once was void of light

Will now pulsate with awesome might

Love’s gift of life is given free

The price Christ paid on Calvary

But still there’s something you can do

Go spread The Truth living in you”.....

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
