Wisdom

Malign The Truth and you shall fail

Without God’s Light in Satan’s jail

Devoid of wisdom, Truth would give

Through faith God’s gift through which to live

Today, some think to know it all

Like Satan did before his fall

Better a child God’s Truth to tell

Than be the wisest fool in hell

The worldly wise so plagued with doubt

May disbelieve what God’s about

What eyes can’t see, their minds despise

Yet boastful sing demonic lies

It’s not that God condemns the wise

He loves us all, and hears our cries

But not who think to know it all

Yet spare no time on God to call

Are you now wise, or claim to be?

Or has Christ Jesus set you free?

Lay worldly wisdom best aside

Trust God’s Spirit to be your guide

Come as a child, receive life’s prize

God sees the heart and soul that tries

Treasure Salvation answer God’s call

Let faithful wisdom benefit all

The least in Christ, amaze the wise

But this should be no great surprise

The haughty think no God to find

Like wise lost fools whose eyes are blind

Wisdom salutes the chosen few

Whose lives have changed through birth anew

Proving once free from Satan’s jail

Wisdom in Christ will all prevail…..

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
