Lest We Fall
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 2 times

            Lest we fall

Without life’s oil, no lamp can burn

The least in Christ this fact should learn

Raise high your lamp however small

Beware God’s children lest we fall

The lamp within should burns now bright

Radiant shining day and night

So clear to see by one and all

So keep it trim lest we fall

Within God’s child, no dark may reign

No fault wrinkle, no spot nor stain

Evil does evil thus they’d call

Best live life true, lest we fall

Who call on Christ, The Lord will save

All who repent will see no grave

God gives true light to them who call

Stand Heaven true lest we fall

Burn no light for appearance sake

Nothing is worse than thought a fake

The Lord’s not mocked, He sees us all

So best take care lest we fall

Light shines true through The Holy Ghost

All hidden filth is seen the most

We stand as beacons seen by all

Walk in holiness lest we fall

Be examples to all you meet

Differing; as chaff from wheat

Each lamp shines most when standing tall

Remain in Christ lest we fall

One’s light is seen behind locked doors

The world surveys the smallest flaws

Though Satan’s back’s against the wall

Walk true in Jesus lest we fall.....

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
