He'll Judge in Righteousness (2)
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Other Poems by Michael P. Johnson

He'll Judge in Righteousness (2)

It’s up to each of flesh and bone

God’s judgement’s more than fair                    Ro.2:2

Receive it here, through Christ alone               Jn.16:8

The option now is there

In righteousness! He’ll judge the earth           Ps.96:13

Not sinners on their own

Even those saved with second birth                1Pe.4:17

Will stand before the throne                            Ro.14:10

God won’t be mocked nor taken light             Gal.6:7

His judgement can’t be bought

To Him, each deed is plain in sight                Ecc.12:14

And every single thought                               Heb.4:12

Each word’s recorded, good and bad            Jas.3:5-6

As though on disk and tape                           Ro.2:16

Judgement will be for most so sad                Mt.8:12

From which there’s no escape                      Jer.25:31

The Judge’s name is Righteousness!           Isa.59:17

He’s holy through and through                    Isa.57:15

As man must be, and nothing less               Lev.19:2

If one’s to live anew

A sin to hide, would be in vain

All darkness now must go                            1Jn.1:5

No matter how we try to feign

“Life’s Judge” will surely know                   Ps.33:13-15

We must take care walking God’s Way      Dt.5:33

He’s wise to every lie                                  Rev.15:5

If none can flee the judgement day             Ro.2:3

It’s better not to try

Our righteous Lord hates all deceit            Pr.6:16-19

So if there’s some within

Beware, because The Judge you’ll meet

Will no way let you win.....                  Heb.3:7-19…..

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
