*Sharing* Incognito

"Well, hello! It's good to see you. My! You sure are looking great!
I have just a sec to sit and gab, I'm really running late.
I got caught-up in the traffic, now my schedule's way behind,
But I have some prayer requests I'd like to share, if you don't mind.

"You know Sally's husband, Walter? How that 'no-good' loves to drink!
She'd be better off if she just up and left him, don't you think?
And poor Mabel with those six kids ~ dear, it simply seems to me,
When they take her off that Valium she'll go crazy, wait and see!

"Do you know 'bout Suzy Jones yet? I just heard, myself, today,
Her loose-living days are over, seems she's in the family way!
Oh, and I hear Preacher Brown was at the widow's late last night,
Can't he comfort her in daylight? I just don't think it looks right!

"Well, it sure was good to see you,
But I've really got to fly!
Give my love to everybody,
Catch you later on, bye-bye!"

Then my friend left in a flurry and my ears were burning red,
Still embarassed by her bluntness, still in shock from what she'd said.
And I heard the Lord speak to me, "My child, do not be unwise ~
Just be certain that your "prayer requests" aren't GOSSIP in disguise!"

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
