Better Than Luck (St. Patty's)
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

It's time for wearin' of the green
'cause it's St. Patrick's Day;
But when folks speak of Irish Luck,
here's what I'd like to say...

It wasn't luck that you were born,
or chance that brought you here;
For you are God's own masterpiece,
and in Him there's no fear.

So you don't need a rabbit's foot
if to God's hand you cling;
For He's the master of your fate,
He's Lord of everything!

No four-leaf clover can replace
the wonder of His care;
For He is all the "luck" you need,
and He is everywhere!

No need to cross your fingers
when on His name you call;
He'll give you everything you need,
and lift you when you fall.

In Him we move and have our being,
by His hand we're led;
So don't you wish for Irish Luck,
just trust in God instead!

-Connie-

"In everything you do,
put God first,
and He will direct you
and crown your efforts
with success."
(Proverbs 3:6 LB)

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
