N.B. and Me

N. B. and Me

Summer days, some time ago,
two fun-loving girls I know,
Ukelele firm in hand,
heading out across the land.

Railroad tracks would sweetly call,
walking down them was a ball,
Singing every song we chose,
squishing pebbles twixt our toes.

Secrets told and crushes bared,
wishes, dreams and hopes compared,
Giggle-crazed-teen-maniacs,
skipping down those railroad tracks.

Jaded travelers brag of trips,
boring tales from worldly lips,
Here's MY preference ~ save your breath:
railroad tracks with Nancy Beth!

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
