Fuhgedaboudit

Just when I am drifting off
Or when I'm in the show'r;
Intruding on my tranquil mind,
They pounce on me with pow'r.
In-my-face, tormenting me,
Here, a verb, a noun,
whisp'ring, "write!
write me down!
write me down!"

Help! I need some paper!
Hey! who stole my pen!
Grab an eyebrow-pencil,
Toilet paper, then!
Quick! before it leaves me!
Ah-h-h! Gedouttatown!
Calling, "Write!
Write me down!
Write me down!"

What's that word I wanted!
Darnnit, what's that phrase!
Somehow it raced by me
In a hasty haze.
'Fore it moons my brain, like
Some crazed circus clown,
Yelling, "WRITE!
WRITE ME DOWN!
WRITE ME DOWN!"

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
