I Love You Like

I love you like no one else,
Like no one ever could ~
Like liars love to cross their hearts,
Like dreamers "knock on wood."

I love you like no one else,
Like no one ever will ~
Like whippoorwills love whooping cranes,
Like water flows downhill.

Like lovers love to kiss and hug,
Like pigeons love to coo ~
The Lord's best angels disagree
Like, how much I love you.

I love you like no one else,
Like no one ever ought ~
Like, it would try Job's patience
To use up the love I've got!

--Connie

A bit of loving silliness
off the top of my head
from my bottom to my heart,
for my one and only Guy ~
like, Happy 23rd, Sweetheart!

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
