End of a Worse Case Scenario

End Of A Worse Case Scenario

They stood in an antique store
where walls and walls of books did stand.
And as they walked and looked about
a child took hold of bigger hand.
"What is this one Daddy?
It's cover sure is worn.
And look here at these pages.
Some are folded, some are torn."
"That is an ancient manuscript,"
the Daddy stopped to say.
"Once it was read by many folks.
It was well known in it's day.
But man developed way beyond
the need for such spiritual thought.
Self will then gained the upper hand
as another path to knowledge was sought.
And then in an enlightened age
where words did fly through space.
This book at last was pushed aside
and by the internet replaced."
"Well can I have it Daddy please?
It looks so lonesome here."
The Daddy thought to turn away
but was stopped by a single tear.
"O'k my child, we'll take it home.
It's story there we'll read."
Then not by chance and at long last,
The Bible nourished life's pure seed.
