   Thin Blooded Thoughts
     By Ricky L Gibbs

A cold wind stirred the new formed leaves
and caused a slump within the spine.
This day of change in midst of spring
brought thoughts unpleasant to the mind,
Depart oh clouds and biting breeze.
Make way you darkened sky.
The days of warmth from sun's embrace
shall return by and by.
And it's then this huddled shivering form
will once again stand tall.
Instead of cowering in place
behind these sheltering walls.

About the Poet
59 and holding. Married to the love of my life for 35 years. We are a Christian family with 3 grown kids and a hard headed chihuahua named Peppy. I enjoy writing poetry and hope it brings a smile or maybe even uplifts a little.
