       Spring
   by Ricky L Gibbs

Just a little longer.
The warmer winds will blow.
Cold that grips with icy fingers
will have to then let go.
And all that is awaiting
to once again be free.
Will break the shell encasing
and reach up, oh Lord, to thee.

About the Poet
59 and holding. Married to the love of my life for 35 years. We are a Christian family with 3 grown kids and a hard headed chihuahua named Peppy. I enjoy writing poetry and hope it brings a smile or maybe even uplifts a little.
