The Liar

The Liar

That was then and this is now.

Times have changed a bit.

Surely God does understand

today those old ways just don't fit.

This old world's been modernized.

Different folks got different ways.

From red to yellow, and black to white,

no one thinks the same these days.

So just stay on this super highway.

It's a whole lot easier than a narrow path.

Merge right in with that rush hour traffic.

The power of numbers will cancel God's wrath.

Trust me now, I know what I'm doing.

Now why would I try to decieve?

Well yeah. That's true. There was that apple.

Can't figure why any still believe.

But listen, that's beside the point.

Ain't got time to be messin' around.

I've got your attention. Now your distracted.

Bet you won't hear that trumpet sound.

Will you?

Twas then the lightening bolt did flash.

From eastern to the western sky.

Not one did miss this time predicted.

With sight restored to blinded eyes.

The mountains crumbled before God's glory.

The sky then parted and fled away.

All life that ever was, and is,

felt the power of Jesus on judgement day.

And The Liar paid his due.

Author's note:

Oh what a loving God we serve.

For even in our fallen state.

He sent His only begotten Son.

Who dwells within and clears the slate.

John 3:16
