Tedious Changes

Tedious Changes

Life was planned before I was born.
Some disastrous turns I have made,
Trying to run life on my own.
God moves in mysterious ways.

This big change is taking too long.
Seems nothing ever moves smoothly-
A mistake, to make it happen.
God moves in mysterious ways.

He knows I need to think things through-
Body not cooperating-
There’s need to wait – others will help.
God moves in mysterious ways.

I pray each day for God’s guidance.
I ask Him to help me to wait.
He knows my needs and He knows best.
God moves in mysterious ways.

When I pray now with hands open,
Looking up and waiting on Him,
There, blessings as He leads my life.
God moves in mysterious ways.

An old chorus:
“Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path.
When I feel afraid,
Think I’ve lost my way,
Still You’re there right beside me.”

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
