HOPE

Grieving, but still with HOPE –

Whatever does that mean?

Don’t we just sit and mope

With nothing there to glean?

Sorrow when our child died

With heavy hearts and tears,

Sorrow when parents died,

But they had lived long years.

Sorrow when a friend dies

And miss them awfully,

Hug family and cry

But there’s still HOPE, you see.

Know what it means to grieve

With that God-given HOPE.

Show true faith and believe.

Don’t sit around and mope.

HOPE for glad reunion,

Meeting on Heaven’s shore.

Live in blessed communion

Together There forevermore!

I Thessalonians 4: 13 - 17

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
