Christmas Day 2021

It is quiet here today
No sound in the hall
Thinking of love at table
All eating good food
Family unit around
Laughing, loving all!
That is how it was last night.

Last night they got needed sleep
While I am at peace
No work or hurry about
Missed worship at church
As many others did , too.
God knows hearts and love,
Unusualness of earth.

We remember His own birth
And just why He came
We thank God for saving faith
And that precious holy name.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
