At His Feet

At His Feet

When he came, she sat at His feet.
She seemed to drink in His ev'ry word.
To her, the sound was oh so sweet.
She recognized that He was The Lord.

She knew He loved them, very much.
He had raised her brother from the dead.
His teachings and His life were such
That, by them, their very souls were fed.

Somehow she knew He would soon die,
Perfect sacrifice for sins of all.
For attention she did not vie,
But in worship at His feet did fall.

She had perfume worth a year's pay.
She would anoint Him before His death,
Show love and devotion this way
Since the road to Calv'ry was His path.

May we, like them, sit at His feet
To worship, adore and truly love
The Lord of Life who gave His all
'Til He takes us to His home above.

"Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord
our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture,
the flock under His care."  Psalm 95: 6 & 7

May we like these two Marys truly worship and adore Him.
