Where is Eternal Spring?

Where is Eternal Spring?

Hugo said, Winter is on my head,
But eternal spring is in my heart.
The first part is true but now instead
Eternal spring  gets a slow start.

Sometimes these bones just make me mad.
They really hurt and slow me down.
I push and do the work - egad!
Then there’s  an “ouch” and even frown.

Look to God - so glad to do it -
Knowing I could be in a chair.
Stop this grumbling - don’t have a fit!
Be glad I have feet - at least a pair.

I know where I’m going some time.
HE saved me and gave a new heart.
Life may not have reason and rhyme,
But He’ll keep me from sin apart.

He knows the way I take down here
And He’ll never leave me alone.
He knows all my troubles and fears
And He’ll guide me safely to HOME.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
