Both Fear and Peace

Both Fear and Peace

Adam and Eve feared God with awesome dread

After they ate the fruit and then God said,

“Where are you? Why do you hide from me?”

How can I both love God and fear Him, too?

Think of God who created me and you,

Then sent Christ to die for all our sins.

He says that he’ll protect and purify

So trust he’ll do what he says by and by.

We can’t grow without that healthy fear.

Christ offers peace to the lowest bidder.

Come as you are – forgiveness consider.

His perfect peace can flood your whole life.
