     Questions,  Questions

What was on your mind ten years ago?

What will be there ten years from today?

Each day’s troubles seem to come in tow.

Only our God knows the future’s way.

Peter’s orders were to “feed My sheep.”

Then Jesus told him how he would die.

God’s in control… His promises keep…

So Peter pressed on as years went by.

If I knew it would bring me great pain,

Would I follow Jesus anyway?

Do I just look for the blessing’s gain

As I daily go into the fray?

Comparisons cause envy or pride.

“What is that to you?  YOU must follow.”

If each of us will in Him abide,

Our love expressed will not ring hollow.

Embrace Him in love and do His will.

That is active participation.

Glorify God and let His love fill

Us with progressive sanctification.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
