Faith and Reason

Faith and Reason

The world sees faith as opposed to reason

Or evidence – it seems that’s the world’s conclusion.

John proclaims to us what he’s seen and heard,

Appeals to evidence AND reason in The Word.

Over time I have seen what God can do.

I know He who made me still loves me thru’ and thru’.

Music is written, erased, corrected,

Until at last with much work it is perfected.

Eraser marks in me ere Christ’s work’s done,

Through Him, God  will see the masterpiece of the Son.

Faith and trust are the “twins” I believe in

Since Christ, my Savior, saved from original sin.

By faith and reason I claim it, you see.

I have to stay in touch with the One who “wired” me.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
